Connectional Day of Prayer

During this High and Holy Season of our Faith, when we have many celebratory events of prayer, fasting, worship, revival and preaching of the 7 last 'words'; we want to remind all Prayer Warriors across the Connectional Church that our  CONNECTIONAL DAY OF PRAYER, APRIL 13, 2009, is the Monday following Easter Sunday this year.

One account of our founding reports that we were founded as a Connection in April during the Easter season. Our founders made prayer central to their worship experience and thus it makes perfect sense that our founding would be during this period of 'rebirth'

Please join the Bishops of the Church, General Officers and our Prayer Warriors in adding to your prayer supplications during this Holy Week our Connectional Day of Prayer concerns that are listed below.

CONNECTIONAL SUPPLICATIONS

Wednesday, April 8th, Armed Forces Day of Prayer

  1. Let us pray on for our active, reserved, and retired men and women of the Armed Forces and for their families.

  2. Pray for peace in the world and for our world leaders as they to open the doors which will lead to that peace.

During Holy Week and on Monday, April 13th Let us PRAY…

  1. that the body of Christ in African Methodism will not take their eyes off of Jesus during these uncertain times of our nation and our world.

  2. for governmental leaders to come with workable solutions as more families fret over the economic health of their nations. Pray that world leaders will seek God as they craft budges to meet the needs of the people

Let us pray for the African Methodist Episcopal Church:

  1. for the mind of Christ to become the prayer goal of every believer as we pursue spiritual maturity

  2. for the Church to keep its focus on God and the Word of God

  3. for the spirit of evangelism to catch fire across our great Zion

  4. for the raising up; return and retention of youth and young adult to our Zion

  5. for our Episcopal Leadership teams and our General officers and their families

  6. for our Pastors and their families to experience God’s love; to know His peace; and

  7. to trust Him for all provisions

  8. for the Lay of the Church to trust God through all the challenges of life while never losing HOPE; and to seek God through His Word for healing an deliverance.

  9. for more prayer ministries and teaching ministries to be raised up in our Churches

  10. for spiritual growth of our churches across the world

MONDAY, APRIL 13th, 12 Noon, pause and PRAY for our Zion.
